Significant Church Services

Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals, Confirmations and the Thanksgiving for the birth of a child, are important milestone services, and it will be a  privilege should you decide to share or celebrate one of the special services with us at Williamstown Uniting Church - Electra St.

Baptism

A service of welcome into the family of the church.

At Williamstown Uniting Church - Electra St we welcome enquiries for baptism from people of all ages. Young children are baptised at the request of loving parents who profess a Christian faith and desire that their children be nurtured in and come to a Christian faith of their own. Adults and young people who have not yet been baptised are given the sacrament of baptism following their own profession of faith.

Thanksgiving

For those wishing to have a special service for their child but who are seeking an alternative to Baptism, the Uniting Church offers a small service called ‘A Service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child’. Please contact us to find out more. Families who choose this option also still have the opportunity to have a full Baptism service at a later time if they choose to.

Funeral

Funerals are conducted upon request. As Christians we believe that although death represents the end of life on earth, that the human spirit lives on with God. Even in a time of grief, funerals are an opportunity to celebrate life, to share cherished memories and to say goodbye to loved ones once they have ended their journey on earth.
